Perayaan 20 Tahun SDH Daan Mogot dalam kebaktian ucapan syukur
Perayaan 20 Tahun SDH Daan Mogot sebagai ungkapan syukur atas kesetiaan Tuhan

On Friday, 29 August 2025, Sekolah Dian Harapan Daan Mogot (SDH DM) marked a meaningful milestone—its 20th anniversary thanksgiving service. Despite several invited guests being unable to attend due to an unstable security situation in Jakarta, the service and celebration were conducted smoothly and with deep gratitude.

The thanksgiving service also marked the first use of the newly renovated 4th-floor hall. Designed with a premium atmosphere, the hall is now equipped with a large videotron, professional lighting, and a high-quality sound system. These facilities are expected to better support student activities, performances, and school-wide events—reflecting SDH Daan Mogot’s commitment to providing a conducive learning and community space.

The service began at 15.05 WIB with a Pelita Harapan Group (PHG) profile video, followed by an opening address from Dr. Stephanie Riady, Executive Director of PHG. In her remarks, she reaffirmed PHG’s ongoing commitment to advancing education in Indonesia.

This was followed by a drama performance depicting the early days of SDH Daan Mogot. From its founding, SDH DM was established with a vision and mission distinct from traditional education—emphasizing holistic transformation of head, heart, and hand.

A five-minute kaleidoscope video capturing 20 years of SDH Daan Mogot’s journey stirred deep emotions among attendees. The congregation then joined in praise through To God Be the Glory and Great Is Thy Faithfulness, echoing the central theme of gratitude and remembrance.

The sermon delivered by Rev. Hendra G. Mulia reminded educators of their calling to faithfully sow seeds of education, entrusting the outcomes fully to God.

Several leaders then shared reflections:

  • Mr. Budi Rumantya (Head of School 2014–2023) expressed gratitude for God’s blessings through the steady growth of the SDH DM student community.

  • Mr. Wilik, the current Head of School, emphasized the importance of continual growth and humility rather than complacency.

  • Mrs. Priscillia, Chair of the School Committee, shared her pride in the school’s development and achievements over the years.

The service reached its peak with the 20th anniversary cake-cutting, accompanied by the song My Tribute. As the lyrics “To God be the glory, for the things He has done” filled the hall, the entire SDH Daan Mogot community stood united in humility—committing to return all glory to God alone.
