When parents visit SDH Global Karawang, one of the questions we often hear is, “What facilities are available for students?”

It is a natural question, especially for a growing school. Parents want to know not only what the school looks like, but also how the facilities support their children’s learning and daily experience at school.
At SDH Global Karawang, our facilities are developed to support the way students learn today. From technology and sports to art, music, and student support, the school provides different spaces for students to learn and grow beyond the regular classroom.
More Spaces, More Ways to Learn
Students at SDH Global Karawang have access to a range of shared facilities, including a computer laboratory, music and art classrooms, a Multi-Purpose Room (MPR), an indoor gym space, basketball and football courts, a canteen, and a Learning Support room.
These spaces are used as part of students’ learning and activities throughout the school year.
For example, learning does not stop when students leave their regular classroom for an art or music session. They have the opportunity to create, practise, perform, and work with others. In sports, students develop physical skills while also learning about teamwork and discipline.
Technology is also part of the learning experience at SDH. Coding and robotics using VEX Robotics resources are incorporated into the curriculum, giving students opportunities to develop problem-solving and computational thinking skills as part of their regular learning.

Supporting a Global Learning Experience
The facilities are part of a broader learning experience at SDH Global Karawang.
The school uses the national curriculum enriched with the SDH Pathway and global learning resources and experiences. For Kindergarten and Primary students, English is used as the medium of instruction for approximately 80–90% of subjects. Students also experience inquiry-based learning, where they are encouraged to explore questions, work on projects, and present what they have learned.
This approach is supported by the school’s learning resources and facilities. Students have opportunities to use technology, work on projects, participate in creative activities, and learn through different forms of interaction.
Mandarin is also part of the learning programme, beginning in Kindergarten and continuing through Secondary and High School.
For parents, this means that the facilities they see when they visit the school are connected to a broader learning experience that prepares students to engage with an increasingly global world.
Facilities and Teachers Work Together
Of course, facilities alone do not make a learning experience meaningful.
Teachers play an important role in making the most of the spaces and resources available. At SDH Global Karawang, teachers receive regular training and work collaboratively as part of the school’s commitment to maintaining the quality of learning.
The teaching team includes graduates of UPH Teachers College’s double-degree pathway with universities in the United States, as well as expatriate teachers, particularly those teaching English and Mandarin.

The school also provides Learning Support to help students with different learning needs. A Learning Support teacher or counsellor works with students, parents, and homeroom teachers, while teachers apply differentiated instruction according to students’ abilities and learning needs.
This is important to us because every child is different. The goal is to help each child learn and grow with support that responds to their needs.
Come and Experience SDH
As SDH Global Karawang continues to grow, we are grateful for the opportunity to build a school where students can learn in a modern environment while being nurtured through a Christ-centered education.
We want our students to experience learning in different ways—inside and outside the classroom, through technology and hands-on activities, through individual work and collaboration, and through both academic and non-academic experiences.
So, if you have been asking what makes SDH Global Karawang different, we invite you to come and see it for yourself.

I like how SDH Global Karawang combines modern facilities with collaborative learning to support students’ growth. After reading about education, I enjoy Bitlife which is a life simulation game where choices shape each character’s future.
